The primary goal of this project is to employ a relatively untapped data source-- the Multi-City Study of Urban Inequality--to explore whether firms with more racially and ethnically diverse workforces are less likely to offer health insurance to their workers. If the evidence is consistent with this hypothesis, the project will then investigate whether a worker's race and ethnic background influences the likelihood of their being employed in a firms where the workforce is predominantly the same race and ethnicity.
