Interviews

ERIU offers two different interview resources:

  • Q&A's with ERIU Authors provides plain-speak insight from economists on specific research commissioned by ERIU. Jonathan Gruber, Pam Farley Short, Michael Chernew and others talk about the feasibility of targeting subsidies to spur take-up of insurance offers, the different faces of the uninsured, and why the numbers of uninsured Americans rise even during economic boom times and other topics.

  • On My Mind: Conversations with Economists is a forum where some of the nation's leading health and labor economists weigh in on a range of topics confounding policymakers and confronting American employers and employees. Here you will find ERIU researchers and nationally renowned health economists, including Len Nichols and Kathy Swartz, offering their unique perspectives on topical issues such as the possibilities and challenges of small and individual insurance market reform, the shortcomings of incremental policy approaches to coverage expansions, and other issues.
We hope both resources will help spark new policy discussions on a variety of issues related to cost and access. And, we'll always provide a global view of the policy implications of the issue.
